Prayer Points

  1. We thank God for Foebe Hu, Kat Haldy (both in the English congregation), and Liu Yanhui (in the Chinese congregation), who got baptized last month. Let’s pray they continue to grow in the knowledge of God, and that they excel still more in studying his word, in praying, and in worshiping him with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength!
  2. Pray that both military and political leaders will seek wisdom from God as to how to deal with the war between Israel and Hamas. Pray they will know their need for a Savior.
  3. Major wars are also being fought in Myanmar, Sudan, Ethiopia, and Mexico (i.e. the drug cartels). Let us pray that the people would cry out to God for understanding and hope, and that they would hear the good news of salvation in Christ. Pray God’s churches would stand strong in proclaiming and showing the love of Christ.
  4. Pray for our search for a new youth pastor and a new senior pastor. Pray we would have wisdom in forming search committees, trusting that the Lord will provide in his time.
  5. Pray also that our dear brother Jeremy and sister Nina would be blessed as they move to their new home this month. Pray the Lord would multiply their ministry and bless Jeremy in his studies.
  6. Pray for our small group leaders. “May God gives us wisdom and guidance. More importantly, a humble and loving heart like Jesus as we shepherd like him in knowing, feeding, leading, and protecting our brothers and sisters.”
  7. Nancy’s sister Chiling, who had a stroke two years ago in Taiwan, has grown more responsive though she is still not conscious. Pray she would be blessed by having people talk to her, massage her hands and feet, and by sitting in the sun.
  8. Praise God that He has shrunk Minister Naaman’s mother’s tumor by over ninety percent. Pray that the Lord continues to heal her and comfort her.
